Session Summary

• Session begins with a standoff between The Blackstars and The Kirrasa at Aphun’s Tower
  • Etron had just flown up into the tower
• After the fight, we find a note and some pendants
  • The note says the last person they bought the ‘Meridian’ from was a wizard named Aphun in Pillartown
• Enter the tower
  • On the second floor, there is a ~15 foot diameter sphere floating above a brass pedestal in the center of the room. It’s engraved with faintly glowing teal runes that move over its surface
  • On the third floor, we meet Aphun and his mage.
    • Asked Aphun why The Kirrasa were attacking his tower
      • He said they were there to exact revenge; a previous group of Kirrasa had gone to the east and he had given them a device to get past an obstacle there. The group didn’t return due to being ‘ill prepared’, but The Kirrasa thought he had given faulty goods.
    • Asked Aphun what the big brass ball is
      • Says he found it in ancient ruins to the far southwest; it’s the object of his study, but won’t share more about it
      • When Etron asks Molescere, he says “it’s a tool for fools and apostates. Use it and you will get lost.”
    • Asked Aphun what The Kirrasa were after
      • He says there are some ancient ruins out that way.
    • Asked Aphun what the Meridian is
      • The service/device he sells
      • It grants protection and aids in ship navigation
    • Asked Aphun if he knows about Montez’s rocks
      • Seen most commonly in possession of assassins from Shai
    • Asked Aphun if he knows Breeze or any liches
      • Doesn’t think any liches exist anymore
      • Breeze is a familiar name; a few hundred years ago he may have run intro a trader who uses that name
    • Aphun offers us a Meridian
      • Each one is unique and confers unpredictable things, but assists with navigation and provides safety for ships.
      • He sold the last one for ~5k gp
    • Asked Aphun if we can use his teleportation circle
      • He says we’d need to strike much more of a deal
• Walking back from the tower, we see two people fall from the sway into the sea below; they don’t survive the drop
• Return to the ship
  • Dragged one of The Kirrasa of the ship to interrogate
