Subverser Weapon (dagger), rare (requires attunement)

This elegant hooked throwing knife, made of vermillion and silver metal, is known as Subverser. It possesses the unique ability to twist fate to its user’s advantage. While attuned to Subverser, you gain the following benefits:

• Fateful Precision: You have a +1 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with Subverser.

• Twist of Fate: Once per long rest, when you make an attack roll with Subverser, you can choose to invoke the knife’s magical power. Roll a d20. On a result of 11 or higher, the attack is considered a critical hit. On a result of 10 or lower, the attack is a miss. This feature cannot be used again until you finish a long rest.

• What is Done Can Be Re-done: Subverser returns to you after being thrown as if it had the thrown property, and you are proficient with it when thrown. Additionally, when thrown, it can curve its trajectory to bypass partial cover.

• Veil of Deception: Subverser has a subtle enchantment that makes it appear as a harmless non-magical throwing knife to anyone who examines it. A creature must succeed on a Wisdom (Perception) check against your spell save DC to discern its magical nature.

• Nimble Manipulation: As a bonus action, you can manipulate Subverser’s ethereal essence to increase your finesse. Until the start of your next turn, you gain advantage on Dexterity (Acrobatics) checks and Dexterity saving throws.
