The item was obtained in Session 25 as a reward for saving Ny’al from The Red Quarter Rebels. The greataxe was initially used by Yuker but was taken from him when he was captured in the fighting.
This item is currently held and attuned to by Gattenk.
Weapon (greataxe), rare (requires attunement)
This massive double-headed war axe is carved from a porous, dark stone, and its edges are adorned with intricate gold embossing. When attuned to Monolith, you gain the following benefits:
-
Stone’s Fury: Monolith has a +2 bonus to attack and damage rolls. Additionally, on a critical hit, the target takes an additional 1d6 bludgeoning damage and is knocked prone as the sheer weight and force of the axe crush through armor and resistance.
-
Unsettling Presence: Monolith’s massive size and weight grants you advantage on intimidation checks.
-
Earthshaker: Once per long rest, you can slam Monolith into the ground with tremendous force. All creatures within a 10-foot radius must make a Strength saving throw (DC 15) or be knocked prone and take 6d6 thunder damage. This ability also deals 12d6 bludgeoning damage to structures or objects in the area.
-
Weight of the Monolith: If you beat the AC of a target by 5 or more you may choose to shove them.
-
Magical Momentum: This weapon can be thrown as if it had the thrown weapon property. It can be magically recalled to your hand as a bonus action.
You have a +2 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this magic weapon.
