_Wondrous Item (Ring), Very Rare (requires attunement)

_“Destruction is in the eye of the ring holder”

This silvered ring is coated in a rough, blue-rusted texture that resembles corroded steel struck by seawind and time. Beneath its surface, faint lightning-shaped cracks pulse dimly, as though echoing distant thunder.

  • Stormborn Resilience:
While attuned, you gain resistance to lightning damage.

  • Static Edge:
The first melee attack you make on each of your turns deals an additional 1d4 lightning damage.

  • Storm Call (1/day):
Once per day, you may invoke the storm sealed within the ring. As an action, a dark storm cloud materializes high above, centered on you.

  • While the cloud persists (up to 1 minute, concentration required), at the start of each of your turns, it automatically and randomly strikes a creature (excluding you) within 300 feet.

  • The target is chosen randomly from all creatures (hostile or not) in range.

  • The chosen creature is struck by a 3rd-level Lightning Bolt, originating from directly above. The target must make a DC 15 Dexterity saving throw, taking 8d6 lightning damage on a failure, or half as much on a success.

  • The effect ignores cover unless the target is beneath solid, thick overhead protection (such as a stone roof or cavern ceiling).

  • This ability automatically triggers each round while concentration is maintained—no action is required beyond the initial activation.
